1. Code of Conduct for Participants
All participants are expected to maintain integrity and discipline throughout the Olympiad:
- Honesty and Fair Play: Candidates must not engage in any form of cheating, malpractice, or unfair means during the exam.
- Authenticity: Participants must provide accurate information during registration. Any discrepancy found may lead to disqualification.
- Unique Participation: Only one registration per candidate is allowed. Multiple registrations with the same details will be rejected.
- Respect for Rules: Candidates must comply with all instructions provided by the organizers, both online and offline.
- Professional Conduct: Participants are expected to behave respectfully towards exam staff and fellow candidates during the offline phase.
2. Rules and Guidelines for Exams
Phase I (Online Mode):
- The exam will be conducted online, and candidates can take it from any location with a high-speed, uninterrupted internet connection.
- Candidates must log in using their user ID and password provided after registration.
- The use of external help, calculators, or unauthorized devices during the online exam is strictly prohibited.
- If a candidate faces any issues, they should contact the helpline before the exam ends.
Phase II (Offline Mode):
- Candidates must bring the following documents to the examination centre:
- Admit Card (with a recent passport-size photograph affixed).
- School ID/Bonafide Certificate or Aadhaar Card.
- Arrive at the centre at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.
- Candidates must bring their own black ballpoint pen. No borrowing is allowed during the exam.
- Any violation of examination rules, such as copying or disturbing others, will result in immediate disqualification.
General Rules for Both Phases:
- The exam will have 4 options per question, with only 1 correct answer.
- No negative marking in Phase I. Phase II will have ¼ negative marking for incorrect answers.
- Once the exam begins, candidates cannot pause or restart the test.
3. Disclaimers
- Technical Issues (Online Phase):
- The organizers are not responsible for technical difficulties such as poor internet connectivity, power outages, or device malfunctions at the candidate's end during the online phase.
- No extra time will be provided in case of such interruptions.
- Requests for changes to the selected offline exam centre after registration will not be entertained.
- The decision of the Brainbox Olympiad team regarding answer keys, results, and conflict resolution will be final and binding.
- Participant data collected during registration will only be used for the purpose of conducting the Olympiad and related activities.
By registering for the Brainbox Olympiad 2024-25, candidates agree to abide by these terms and conditions. Failure to comply may result in disqualification.
